Delete your account
You can delete your Prosh account at any time, from inside the app. Deletion is permanent — it can’t be undone, and you can’t recover your posts, messages or username afterwards.
In the app (fastest)
- Open Prosh and go to the You tab.
- Tap the settings gear.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
You’re signed out immediately and your profile disappears from the app right away.
If you can’t get into the app
Email privacy@prosh.social from your account email, or include your account phone number, and ask us to delete your account. We’ll verify it’s you and complete the deletion for you.
What gets deleted
- Your account, profile (photo, name, username, bio, link) and city verification.
- Your posts, comments, prompt answers, hangouts and communities you created.
- Your direct and group messages, follows, likes and bookmarks.
Deletion from our live systems normally completes within 30 days, and from backups within a further 60 days as backups rotate.
What may be retained
- Reports and enforcement records involving your account may be kept where needed to keep abusive or banned users off the service and to meet legal obligations, as described in the Privacy Policy.
- Copies of your content that other members saved outside Prosh (for example screenshots) are outside our control.
- Anonymised or aggregated statistics that don’t identify you may be kept.
Changed your mind about leaving entirely? Signing out (Settings → Log out) keeps your account intact for when you come back.
